You want content with your brand’s name on it to load quickly on a mobile device. AMP promotes this improved loading of web pages. Last year, Google started highlighting AMP backed pages to indicate that the page will load quickly on a mobile device.
2) User Experience
The User Experience or UX will have a direct impact on your SEO. If pages load quickly and the information is easy to find, visitors will stay longer, engage more and reduce your bounce rate. A good UX will promote link embeds and content shares, both of which improve SEO. 2017 is the year you should put overall UX first and work out the kinks.
3) Voice Searches
2016 was the beginning of the end for text-based searches. It was the first year that saw a decline in text and an up-tick in voice search. What does this mean for your brand SEO? You need to start thinking about how your content sounds conversationally. We write differently than we speak, searches will follow suit. To improve the SEO of your brand, think about “Where’s the closest restaurant” vs “restaurants in Lafayette, LA.” Voice searches are much more likely to uses words like “where” and rely on GPS phone location instead of typing out a town name.
