Your website can be analyzed through three areas:
1 – Function – How does your website work? Take a good look at the functionality of your website for your user and yourself. Is it built on a content management platform so that you can easily update it? Make sure that all of your backend Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is in place so that your meta tags and alt image text make you more findable for Google. Is your site laid out in a way that the user can find what they need a just a couple of clicks?
2 – Design – Is your site cluttered with lots of nonsense that will be distracting to the user? You want prospective customers to go to your site to find out more about you. Specifically, they want to know if you can ‘solve their problem’. Does your site provide an easy path to the information they seek? Your site needs to have a nice, clean, easy to follow design that highlights your capabilities instead of taking away from it.
3 – Content – This is the one part that will make or break your website faster than any other. Your site has to have interesting, relevant, engaging content that will inform, educate and entertain those that come to your site. Your site should answer the questions that someone might have about your company.
How are you using your website? Is your website your website salesperson? Does your site deliver your best salespitch and really put your best foot forward?
