In a nutshell the company on the red bag, Big Easy, use to license the name of the company on the green bag, Tony Chachere. When the license expired, instead of renewing it, Big Easy launched their own product, hence the red bag.
Competition is great. Pepsi v Coke. Nike v Reebok. McDonald’s v Burger King. You get the idea. Each company was made better by the competition. It was never about being more like the other. Each of these companies found ways to differentiate themselves and in the process appeal to consumers who didn’t like the other guy.
Your goal should never be to build a “me too” company. The consumer confusion you create will backfire. Not to mention the legal problems you could create.
