Building People Builds Your Brand
You have a secret weapon; it’s so powerful, that if harnessed properly it could be the biggest marketing tool in your arsenal: Branding Advocates.
Some of these advocates are in your ranks, in the form of your employees and some of these advocates are your clients, people so satisfied and loyal that they sing your praises loud and often. Today let’s talk about building advocates out of your customers.
In this new world of business, an online review can mean the difference between a new customer or no customer. If you have a client who you know is exceptionally satisfied with your work, ask him to write a review. It can go on your company Facebook or even website. These sorts of testimonials really make a difference in the mind of potential clients, especially millennials.
If you see a positive review of your company floating out there in cyberspace, share it! Retweet that “Thank You” message, share that “OMG, you guys are the best” Facebook comment. Interact with the folks that go out of their way to thank you online. Besides already offering great customer service, you are now showing gratitude for their advocacy of your brand.
As business owners ourselves, we know what its like to depend on clients. They can become family and it’s important you let them know how valued they truly are. Meeting needs and expectations is only part of the equation, offering great customer service and follow up are just as important in terms of satisfaction. And customer service and follow up are where you can create an army of loyal brand advocates– who can’t wait to tag you on Facebook or mention you at a party.
