The Must Haves for Your App in 2017
Mobile is now a way of life for consumers and business owners, big or small, your company needs to be in the palm of your client’s hands. Your website should be mobile friendly by now and if you don’t have an app, consider putting one in the works. There are third parties who can help you develop and implement an app or you can use one of the many do-it-yourself app builders. Check out tools like Google’s App Inventor, AppMakr or BulidAnApp to get started.
Once you decide how to get started keep in mind these functions your app must have for 2017.
Branding – You need to be all over your mobile app. It can be generic in its functions but it can’t LOOK generic. Make sure your logo and look can be customized. You want client to instantly recognize your brand from their other online interactions with your company.
Mobile Tools – For an app, user experience is everything. Unlike your website or social media accounts, you know customers will be using your site on their mobile devices, that’s the whole point of your app. Be sure to include tools that make sense, like geo-location, social media, contact info, payment options, etc. Think about how you use apps, be sure to include the basics people will be expecting.
Be Accessible to Others – An often-overlooked part of app development is how your app should interact with the digital world. Include things like QR codes, that way when someone scans a code generated by your company, your app shows up. Include a link to your app in your email signature that makes it launch. Being accessible is a form of marketing your app that you should take seriously.
It’s 2017, mobile technology is no longer the forefront, it’s what people are using day-to-day. Your app should take that mobile experience to the next level, or, at the very least, offer an experience that is in line with your company operations. A good experience is an experience clients and customers will want to recreate.
