3 Do it Yourself Tips to Build Your Brand
2020 sounds so futuristic – a distant time from the age of the Jetsons where cars drive themselves and we all have computers in our pocket.
Well, that time has come. In just a few weeks we will start a new year and a whole new decade.
Now is the time to figure out what you are going to do differently next year that will improve your business for this new time. Otherwise, you will keep doing what you have been doing and you will keep getting the same results.
These are the 3 things you have to do to Build your Brand for the new year:
- Focus on Your Target Audience – Narrow down to a specific group for your target audience. Stop trying to reach everyone. Profile the demographics and psychographics of your most profitable customer. That is who you want to focus your time and energy on.
- Develop a Message that Connects – Now that you are focusing on a specific target audience, you can develop a message that is specific to their wants and needs. This message should be about benefits (not features) and engage your audience in a way that will create an emotional connection.
- Place the Message in the Right Place – This needs to be where your target audience will see it as often as you can afford to create as much frequency as possible. This should include the best practices for using traditional media, digital media, and social media to put your message in front of the right audience often enough to really make an impact.
This doesn’t limit you from other audiences, it allows you to be as specific and targeted as possible to build a stronger bond with your audience.
If you aren’t sure how to do this then be sure to sign up for one of the last three Brand Builders workshops this year.
Competition for the attention and donations of the community has become more competitive than ever before. How will your nonprofit get the message out about your cause next year?
