Big Game Ads Build Brands
The Super Bowl of Advertising is literally all of the ads played during the Super Bowl game. Some people watch the game and go to the bathroom during the commercial breaks. The rest of us silence our kids during the commercials and analyze the ads during the game (unless the Saints are playing).
This year brought about some changes from the usual slate of Super Bowl ads. Some of the regular advertisers (Budweiser, Coke, Pepsi, Hyundai, Kia, and Google) took this year off. Others steered clear of the usual emotional/thought provoking ads and focused more on lighthearted messages.
Best ads of the game:
Jeep
Indeed
Toyota
Bud Light
Social media and the pre-release of ads have changed the nature of watching the Super Bowl ads. No longer do we have to wait until the game to watch these ads. Now they are shared on social media days, even weeks, before the big game giving more airtime and attention to those ads.
