Find your stories at the front line
The Weekly Deposit, Issue 5. One small marketing move for community banks, every Tuesday.
Your best stories are not in the marketing office. They happen every day at the teller line, at the drive-through and on the phone.
One move
Spend time with your frontline to find the stories.
- Spend one hour a week at a branch, at the teller line or at a desk.
- Ask the team: who did you help this week, and how?
- Write down one story a week. Ask the customer for written permission before you share it.
- Turn one story a month into a post, a video or a lobby sign.
One bank that made it
Bank South, Georgia. Bank South competes with big-bank budgets in Atlanta and Savannah. Its marketing is about relationships. The bank lets its customers tell the story, in testimonials shot with the cameras in view.
One conversation
Bank South: letting customers tell the story, with Bryce McCuin, Director of Marketing, Bank South, on He Said, She Said. Listen on the podcast page.
