Ask customers to update their information
The Weekly Deposit, Issue 4. One small marketing move for community banks, every Tuesday.
Good marketing starts with good data. One simple email a quarter keeps your list current and starts a conversation.
One move
A quarterly email asking customers to update their information.
- Send one short email each quarter: is your phone number, email and address still right?
- Make it easy: one link, or a reply, or a visit to any branch.
- Count how many customers update their information each quarter.
- Send it from the customer's own banker where you can, not from a general inbox.
One bank that made it
Extraco Banks, Texas. Extraco Banks built a customer data platform inside its marketing team. The team works in weekly sprints on customer segments, and many of its emails come from the customer's own banker, not from the bank's logo.
One conversation
Extraco Banks: turning bank data into marketing results, with Libby Cain, Extraco Banks, on He Said, She Said. Listen on the podcast page.
See you next Tuesday,
